Brain fog anyone?

Anyone else having issues remembering or thinking through simple things lately? I figured it was just being a little tires, until last week when I managed to leave my car key at the office (I take the train but drive to/from the station) on Monday, leave the broiler on ALL DAY on Tuesday and the outright lose my keys at a friends place on Wednesday (thank goodness a neighbor found them on Thursday). I'm an engineer so this fog is driving me a little nuts, constantly feeling like an idiot and forgetting stupid things. Anyone else in the same boat? Tell me it gets better......please??

  • Yes!! At the supermarket I forgot to buy buns even though I bought hotdogs. The employee thankfully watched my cart at the register while I went to get them. Then my husband painted the stoop in front of our house and told me not to go out the front and I forgot he said that and totally walked on it. Fortunately the paint was dry when I did. But I did cry a little because both happened the same day and I was feeling really stupid!

  • The other day I found the cereal in the fridge and the butter in the microwave. Which is even weirder because I couldn't remember using the butter at all. It's definitely real.

  • I took chicken out to unthaw yesterday at supper time (for today) and left it out all night. I hate wasting food.
  • Oh pregnancy brain is so real! It's to the point where my husband and I are just laughing because I've been doing and saying and forgetting the most ridiculous things. If you don't laugh about it, it will for sure drive you crazy.
  • I'm pretty sure my boss thinks I've been riding the short bus to work.

  • Also, I've tried no less than 3x to change my flippin' siggy. I can't figure it out. I'm blaming preggy brain. Its not that I'm so bad with computers. I even know some programming. I just can't change a damn siggy! I've followed all the instructions -- it just won't change.

And it double stinks b/c I'd like to have my ticker to remind me how far along I am.Β

  • I made a quick dash to the grocery store yesterday for onions for dinner. I left with a bag of Reese's, some bananas, gum, and no onions. I realized when I got to the car and I might have teared up a little because I had to waddle my ass back in to the store and I was so tired. The pregnancy brain is much worse this time around.Β
  • I brought my 4yr old a pair of clean shorts and underwear downstairs this morning. A few mins later I realized he was still in his pajamas. I looked everywhere and could not find where I put them. He went to go throw something away and found them in the trash can....

Yep. It has hit me hard lately.
