Restaurant in Boston NBR

My sister and I are taking our mom to see a talk given by Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa) at Boston Symphony Hall in early November. We would like to take her out for dinner before the show. I am MA born and raised but live in a rural town on the NH border, and I spend very little time in the city. Can any of the Boston mamas suggest a good restaurant in that particular area? I have looked at a few online but I'm curious if there are any little hidden gems I should know about! Thanks for any help you can give!

    Thanks! I will take a look at those places and also do a little research about the South End as well. None of us mind walking. I like to avoid chains if I can, only because you can find them anywhere, but I will definitely keep them as options if all else fails. My father tends to be an early bird special, enjoys the deal more than the meal kind of guy so we want to take my mom somewhere different and a little bit nicer for a change!
