Titty twisters

DD's latest trick is to put both of her hands on my boob - one of the top and one on the bottom - and twist it around while she is latched on. It is ridiculously painful. I say "ouch" really loudly and unlatch her but she just gives me her sweet grin and then latches back on.

I really hope this game of hers does not last long. Otherwise she may be cut off soon. Between this and the teething my boobs have had enough!

No twisting here but my LO has 2 teeth and when he's finished eating has been biting. I'm already over it. Worse than my other 2 were so I'm hoping it's short lived.

Mine does this, but one-handed. He gets a good grip and squeezes SO hard, then digs his nails in for good measure. Ow!

I was just reading what to do about biting in baby 411 this weekend.  Avoiding any exciting reaction such as a loud "OW!" (I was doing this too) was recommended, to keep the baby from associating the behavior with a strong response.  They recommended calmly saying "no biting", and placing the baby down for 1 minute, then picking her back up and resuming.

Yeah I overreacted and sternly said no biting then she started bawling.... Oops!

Same here and I haven't done it since, glad to read the above. I thought DS was bad about stretching my shirts while nursing so I guess I'll take that over a titty twister any day!

DD lately likes to twist, pop on and off, trade out a nipple for a thumb, then resume again. Drives me crazy.

@sandbridge1030‌ - yesterday DD was trying to shove her thumb in her mouth while nursing. It's like she has gotten bored with BFing and is trying to find different ways to make it fun again.

Add me to the group of pain. LO alternates between treating my nipples like they're made of taffy or they're doorknobs. Bleh.

Right there with you. My LO puts a hand on either side, pulls her head back and presses her arms out to straight. Stretcccchhhhh! My nipples just may hang so low they scrape the ground when she's all said n done.

DS twists his own ear while nursing.  It's a little weird, but at least it's not my ear!
