I have a job interview tomorrow morning! I worked retail part time and have coached on and off for the last year but full time work? I threw my resume online and applied Thursday night, got the call for the interview Friday! The job sounds great but a transition to day care for LO scares me. I had to go buy an interview outfit which was fun but just makes me realize how much my body has changed in the last year. Nothing really to ask here but wanted to tell someone besides my husband. My mom doesn't support daycare so I am working her into the idea of me working. Happy thoughts would be appreciated as it has been a while since I have been in a professional setting.

Thanks everyone! I think the interview went well. The timing, location, pay of it seems too good to be true so I am trying to not get my hopes up. I would be 25 minutes away from home, 10 minutes away from DH's work and 5 minutes from the awesome day care (4 star) that is situated between our work places. The job seems to be what I have been describing as what I have wanted since I graduated 4 year ago. We shall find out soon because the president really needs a secretary asap! I just hope it isn't too quick so that I can help DD with the transition and myself because I can already feel the mommy guilt creeping in. Although I was so excited to feel like a real person/adult today in my professional clothes, make up and heels!
As far as DC goes I was raised hearing that day care is awful, "dangerous," unloving, and a place for kids to learn bad habits. I don't believe that because the places I have toured look amazing. Like DD would be lucky to go to a place that gives her so many activities, outings, attention, and learning. I have friends who grew up in DC and they loved it. Maybe my mom just heard horror stories, who knows. Thanks for all the good vibes! Who knows maybe I'll be on the Working Moms board soon?!

I agree with PP. Daycare has been great for us. DS has learned so much from interacting with the other kids and they have so many more programs for him than I could ever do at home. Does he get sick from being there? Yes of course. But through my training (master of science in the immune system) I know how essential it is for the body to "see" different viruses early on in order to protect us when we get older. Just find a daycare you're comfortable with and I promise your LO will be great. Let us know when you hear back!
