We have a 2 story house. Our bedroom is on the first floor, with a large sitting area that has plenty of room for pack n play, bassinett or even a crib. All other bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. Im the youngest on both sides of my family, and really don't know much about babies at all. Im still undecided at this point. For those of you with 2 story houses, where did/will your newborn stay at night?
Re: Where did your newborn sleep?
Eta: that worked for us and our situation. Ultimately, advice from others and ideas are great but do what you feel comfortable doing when LO arrives.
If you are considering cosleeping OP please do it in a safe and educated way.

BFP #3: It's a BOY! Please be our rainbow! Due February, 2015
*everyone always welcome*
Cosleeping isn't for us, but some people swear by it. Do your research and do what is best for you!!
P.S. I'm the oldest and still don't have much baby experience, so you aren't alone
Bringing them both home...UPDATE...The girls are home!!! 1/7/15 after 20 days in the NICU!
My bedroom is on same floor as nursery and I decided to get a PNP next to bed so I'm not making a hundred trips down the hall! Especially in the beginning.
Oh and I'm a nanny and have watched babies forever and I will still be nervous with my newborn lol.
ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

F15 Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward to Most After Baby Arrives: BELLY SLEEPING!
Do what you need to do to get through the first few weeks. I never had a problem with having the baby in another room, so I'd say a bassinet in the sitting room would work.

Baby Girl EDD 2.17.15
Right from the beginning DS was (and still is) a VERY noisey sleeper. Having him in the room with us would have just made the precious little sleep we could get that much more difficult. Also we never had to do any transitions. He took his naps in his room, slept in his room, and his crib was all he knew.
@willvilljill I would say if you are getting a PNP, skip the bassinet. Not worth the money IMO.
DS slept in our room in the RNP for 2 months. Then his crib. But we have all bedrooms on the same floor and they are very close.
