Pregnant after a Loss

WWPgALD?

So for the most part I've had an uneventful pregnancy. 15 weeks 3 days today with an appointment on the 2nd. The last 2 days I've had some serious pain in my back and lower abdomen. Nothing that lasts very long but enough to make me pretty uncomfortable for up to an hour. I know it could just be growing pains and I'm not having any bleeding (some discharge but I think that's normal). I haven't gotten any strong movement yet, just occasional flutters so that's not helping me either. My appointment is just a couple of days away so I'm not sure if I want to wait till then and bring it up or what. What would you do?

I've been having similar pains that have been gas for me. I stayed on the couch most of the afternoon yesterday because of it. That being said the first day I had pain that was consistent for a length of time (mine was 2 hours but I don't think that matters) I called my OB to check in. By the time I spoke to the nurse I had figured out it was gas but we talked about what I could safely take for constipation. Honestly if you're uncomfortable then call the nurse in the am. They can walk through everything with you and decide if they want to see you sooner. I hope it ends up being nothing and that you get some relief soon.

  • I had some pains around the same time, too. For me, it was just intestinal issues and RLP. But, I did call the nurse line just to be sure it wasn't something I needed to come in for. So, it probably is nothing, but I would go ahead and call just to be safe and for peace of mind until your appointment on the 2nd.

  • Agreeing with the other ladies, check with your doctor to rule out anything else, but if it turns out to be growing pains (which I had around that time) I can not recommend yoga enough.
If it's possible to find a yoga instructor who can do a little one on one restorative yoga with you even better.
I've learned so much about how our muscles and internal organs stretch and affect one another - things get pinched, stuff gets moved around.. She's taught me some really weird-to-me stretches that have changed my life.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

  • Thanks ladies! I'm probably going to call today and see what they say.
