Longest you've been from LO

What's the longest amount of time you've spent away from LO? I'm thinking about going home for about 16 days, I think DD will handle it better than I'll handle it but the idea makes me a little nervous!

My mom and I spent a week in Mexico together November last year. It was the longest I'd been away from my kids and it. was. GLORIOUS!! Of course I had the luxury of knowing that my ILs (whom I adore) were here to help DH. I was pretty thrilled to get home and see them though

We have gone on a couple overnight dates. The longest being 2 nights. Then my parents watched DD when DS was born and that was like 3-4 nights.

DH and I went to Mexico for a week in January and then we had a week at home in July both times DS stayed at my parents. He has been a few more times for 2-3 nights to their house as well. It truly was GLORIOUS as @JJsMum‌ said. Yes I missed him, but DS did awesome and so I enjoyed the break! It's amazing how much free time you have when you aren't chasing a LO! It wont be easy but I say seize the opportunity!

Just finally did an overnight last weekend for my birthday. DH had him the whole time and he did fine. I don't think I could do two weeks until he's at least 3 or 4.

We often two 2 overnights away with each set of grandparents since DS was 4 months old... I work every weekend and DH works every other weekend so on the weekends we both work DS gets to go have fun. The longest we've ever done was 5days/4nights one long weekend DH and I both worked and my mom watched DS for us. I missed the heck out of him by the end, he was just fine though.

I haven't spent more than a couple hours away from DS.. I couldn't imagine a couple weeks, BUT, i have to admit, a night alone with DH might be nice. Lol.

I haven't apent a night away from dd yet. I don't think she'd be ok with it.

I spent a weekend away from ds about 8 years ago when he was 7 or 8 months old. Other than that just one night at a time. Ive never actually thought about that. I think it's time dh and I plan a kid free vacation.

Just a two day trip here and there for work like every six months. Lady August I spent Memorial Fay weekend in DC to see friends by myself. Gone 3 nights and it was glorious!

We have done a handful of overnights with DD staying at my parents house but nothing longer than one night yet. That changes when Dh and I go to Chicago for our anniversary trip next week. We will be gone five days, four nights. I'm both excited and freaked out. DD will again stay with my parents. I think it is good for her at this age but over two weeks would kill me. :-)
