Baby gifts in mail....

I am starting to recive baby gifts in the mail, my baby shower is in two weeks....
Do I open then now? And if so how do you agnolage them at the shower?
Or
Wait and take them to the shower and open them in fount of the gift giver?
Also,
Can I wait until after the baby shower to send all thanks you cards or do I need to send thank you cards to the gift givers by mail now?

I opened mine, acknowledged them at the shower and will send thank you's all at once

I'm having mine all sent to my cousins where the shower is so I'm not tempted to open them and then after the shower my registries are set up to send them to my house directly I'd wait but that's my preference that way I can show those people the pictures of me opening their gifts at the shower

The friends that sent gifts to my home, text me and said go ahead and open it when you receive it. I immediately text her to thank and let her know I got it, but my official thank yous are going out after the shower.

n't wait to start getting gifts! That sounds graby, but really I am waiting to buy anything until after my shower so I can buy only what I really need. I just want to have baby stuff!
