Any STM's who have used the Belly Bandit postpartum?

I've heard of just a couple of friends who have used this in the past and really loved it-wondering if any of the ladies on The Bump have any experience? If yes, how long did you use it? Did you wear it all the time? Were results better than you think you would have had without it?

TIA!

Re: Any STM's who have used the Belly Bandit postpartum?

  • I bought one and used it for maybe 3 days after having DD - it was so uncomfortable! As it was I was dealing with engorged breasts and post partum bleeding - wearing what is essentially a girdle was not worth the extra uncomfortableness. That being said I was lucky that my body snapped back pretty fast that time but I truly think genetics played a role in that and I don't know if the belly bandit would have made any difference...

  • I didn't use a post partum belt when I had my son, and plan to this time. I didn't bounce back right away, and felt like a deflated balloon with a kangaroo pouch. I was wondering about it too, but I think I may just go with a generic one.
  • I used it but it kept riding up the sides of my thighs when I was sitting, which I did a lot of sitting while BFing and pumping the first month. This time I'm getting the C-panty because I'm having a RCS.

  • I'm also curious as well but mostly about if it helped provide comfort or support. As much as I expect to be eager to try and get back into shape post baby, I doubt anything other than diet and exercise actually works. But I definitely am wondering if having the additional support would make it easier to be up and about. Any other STM's able to weigh in?
