High Risk Check-In 9/26

Oh hai ladies.
Nothing new on my end. My toddler slept in til 8am today and it was magnificent.
Next U/S is on Oct 6th.

GTKY: What is the best concert you've ever been to, and what is your dream concert (performers can be alive or dead for this part)?

Best concert had to be The Who or Aerosmith. I also worked the Rolling Stones concert and while I didn't meet them, I ran into Raine Maida from OLP on his way to the stage from the dressing room, as they were opening for the Stones. He's just as delicious as you'd think.
Dream concert has to be Sublime. I would have loved to see them.

    Good morning everyone!
We've had a pretty boring week, we all have colds at the moment so no one is sleeping and everyone is extra cranky.
My next OB appt is Oct 6th and it will include an ultrasound! (First one this pregnancy!)

Best concert that I've been to - probably a Hawksley Workman concert in Canmore, Alberta. It was just this small concert in a tea house and we all sat around in comfy couches and drank wine and listened to some awesome indie/folk music.
Dream concert is HANDS DOWN Elton John!!

  • Hi! I'm not new to the Bump, but I'm new to this month board, so hello! I'm a T1 Diabetic and this is my 6th pregnancy, hopefully third living child. We move a lot (military), so I'm working with a new team this time and it's going great--pretty low key. I'm just at 12 weeks and have only had one OB appointment and one Endo appointment, with three more scheduled before 20 weeks. I feel like it's fun to be a little more relaxed this time. I was super motivated to go low carb this time, but my MS has kept me from being too good about that, but with regular exercise I've actually been able to lower my insulin needs and keep my blood sugars good. Still a few unexplained lows here and there, so I'm hoping we'll be able to lower my insulin load even more as the pregnancy progresses. And, I hope to be able to get back on the low carb/low sugar train once my nausea passes--we'll see!

As for concerts--I think my favorite concert ever was Hanson at House of Blues, haha. Dream concert would probably be ELO or Queen.

  • Nothing to exciting going on over here. Did my first 24 hour urine collection so they can get a good baseline. Did the NT scan on Monday and everything went great. Also, found out the gender of the baby... a girl! We had the Panorama done and all was well there as well. I will test for GD early this time around. The Dr. said either week 16 or 20.

My favorite concert would have to be Alan Jackson and George Straight. I am actually not to much into concerts so I do not really have another one that I think would have been better....

  • Been a slow couple weeks.  I have the NT scan or Quad screen or whatever after I meet with the genetic counselor on Monday.

QOTD: I don't have a favorite concert.  They usually hurt my ears.  I've been to many though as I have worked EMS for a venue for several years.  I wear ear plugs.

  • Good week! 12w2d. I have my nt scan on Wednesday the 1st and if all is well, we are announcing! Ordering my progesterone IM injections at next appt because it's a fight with the insurance. Just hoping this pregnancy goes smoothly. So far it has been complete opposite of my son, so hopefully this baby wants to stay in longer.

I've been to so many amazing concerts between brad paisley, foo fighters, dmb and Ben folds. Hard to choose.

I wish I could see nirvana.
  • Not much to report here. I don't have an appointment until Friday (email my endo every week though). Still getting crazy lows. Not able to eat much since I have bad morning sickness and food aversions. I am mostly doing shakes and juices.

Best concerts? Hmm... I like Lolapalooza but that was more than one. Seeing the Beastie Boys in Taipei (and being front row as a guest of the Tibetian delegation) was pretty cool too. Dream concert: Since it's a dream, it'd be super cool to see the Beatles but if based in reality, the Stones or Cat Stevens would be cool too.
  • Hey ladies! 11w5d here. Had our NT scan Friday and baby was measuring a whole week ahead, totally healthy! We're hopefully finding out the sex on Halloween ;) and I have my MFM appt on October 6th so I'm reallllly anxious about that. No idea what to expect,

And I'm a loser. No cool concerts here. I saw O-Town when I was 11? But that's not considered cool anymore haha. I don't know if it ever was

  • Anyone have elevated liver enzymes ONLY in pregnancy? I had them go crazy at 25+ weeks-til delivery with DD (but not extreme like I know they can go w/ HELLP etc... But too high for me).

I had blood drawn by PCP that was over due on Friday and my liver enzymes are 58 & 148 (our reference range is 6-31). I read that hyperemesis can do this to you, which I was diagnosed with, so I'm hoping that's why but what the heck? Just 2-3 months ago they were in the 20's/normal range so I'm a little freaked out, naturally. But I see MFM soon so I will ask of course.

    :)

Elevated liver enzymes plus crazy uncontrolled bp is why I was induced with DD at 38 weeks so I'm hoping my liver calms the f down and behaves til it's time to have this baby.
