Ultrasound Question

hi ladies,
Hope this hasn't been asked before, but if you are abit overweight does that mean they won't see much in an ultrasound? I was 12 weeks on Saturday and my first scan is Wednesday :) I'm excited to see this little heartbeat cause some days I forget I'm pregnant, untill the nausea hits again..

    Depends on how overweight you are and where the extra "bits" are distributed. Pre-pregnancy I wore a size 12 and you could see the heartbeat transabdominally around 7 weeks. If they can't, they may do a transvaginal scan to make sure.

    I'm a size 22 and they found the baby on three different ultrasounds no problem. They did have to "dig in" kinda hard with the probe but the images were very clear.

    Thanks Ladies, I am a size 16/18 but I feel like my tummy has gotten abit 'softer' with all this eating lol..
