My girls are 14 mos old. Sometimes, they nurse for 5-10 min/session, but often it's more like 2-4 min. Are they actually getting "enough" to count as nursing or are they just checking in? We nurse every 3 or so hrs, sometimes more frequently.
ETA They eat really well (solids) and don't seem ready to wean (nor is mama!!) by any means.

I'm still pumping the same amt on work days. So I figure they are still eating about the same . BFing can be such a mystery sometimes! Today, my boobs are sore and itchy, so I know they've had less than usual. Hopefully this is a flukey day.

I'm so torn about pumping @casey78. I'd like to stop but it's been such a security blanket for me through our very rocky start. And I'm worried about a supply drop if I stop since I only work 3 days/wk and feed on request (sounds much nicer than demand) the rest of the time. If I worked ft, I may have been more inclined to ditch the pump.

My LO definitely comes for a quick hit for emotional reasons, and those only last about 2-4 minutes. This could be the dog knocked her over, I'm making dinner and she just wants mom for a few minutes, etc. I think it's completely normal. She's almost 17 months.
At 16 months, this is also where we are at, mostly 2-3 minutes at a time and then every night before bed and before naps on the weekend. During the week we are mostly only nursing at night before bed. My boobs don't feel as full as they did, but when I hand express I can still get quite a bit. She's doing well on wcm now (we were dealing with a sensitivity which she seems to have outgrown). At this point, I'm mostly comfort nursing and hoping to give her a little bit of an immunity boost over this coming winter.
