Middle Name for Emmett

We have our "girl" name picked out but are having a difficult time finding a middle name for our "boy" name Emmett. My DH likes family name Ray but it sounds kind of hick to me. I like Maxwell but DH hates it. Our last name is really, really, really bad (haha). It is the opposite of Greater, sooo...we have to be very careful with names. Any suggestions or help would be great!!

My cousin is Emmett John. Any "classic" name sounds great with Emmett, I think. John, Michael, Matthew, Christopher, William, Daniel....

Agree with PP that a classic name would sound great with Emmett. Do you have a sentimental family name you might could use?

I would be open to using Ottis, (pronounced Ot-Tis) because it was my grandfather's name but DH hates it. My father and brother's middle name is Ray but I don't really like it. We already used my DH's mn for DS#1 (Samuel). Other than that...nope. I hope this means we are having a girl:)
