Middle name suggestions for Amelia...

I know it's popular but I've absolutely fallen in love with the name Amelia.

Looking for ideas and suggestions for a middle name.

Her last name is going to be 'Long' and the ones we've come up with or have liked so far are:

Amelia Grace Long,
Amelia Willow Long &
Amelia Taylor Long.

What do people think of those?

Thanks in advance :)

Re: Middle name suggestions for Amelia...

  • Amelia Mae is a tongue twister. I would advise against it. Do you have anyone you may want to honor with her middle name? Otherwise based on what sounds good:

    Amelia Jane
    Amelia June
    Amelia Kate
    Amelia Joy
  • Loading the player...
  • I really love Amelia Grace.

    Other ideas:

    Amelia Pearl
    Amelia Dawn
    Amelia Sage
    Amelia Claire
    Amelia Noelle

  • If our LO is a girl we're naming her Amelia Maureen. Maureen after my mom.

My husband and I decided we woukd use our mom's names for any daughters middle names.
  • I got excited and missed your suggestions... I love Amelia Grace!!!

I would love to honor my grandad (he passed away years ago and we were extremely close! He was like a dad to me) but not sure how I could incorporate his name some how (he was called William Taylor)

Love the suggestion of Amelia Jane, I think it sounds lovely but my other half isn't so keen.

Thank you everyone for the replies :) glad people like Amelia Grace as that was my favourite out of the two :)

Mae sounds too cute-sy with Amelia, IMO.

I wouldn't choose Grace either, b/c it is SUPER common now. I would especially avoid it because Amelia is getting to be more popular, and those together would be old news, so to speak.

    Amelia Josephine?
  • DD is Amelia Grace, and at times I wish we had gone with Amelia Berenice or Amelia Veronica instead. I want to like Amelia Willa or Amelia Wilhelmina to honor your grandfather, but the names just do not go well together at all. Maybe just use a W or T name?

    Amelia Willow
    Amelia Winter
    Amelia Winifred
    Amelia Therese
    Amelia Theodora
    Amelia Thisbe

I really like Amelia Willow (as Willow was another name on our girls list) and love the idea that it's honoring my grandad but not sure if Amelia Willow Long is too many 'L's. What do you think?
  • I like Amelia Grace, Amelia Mae isn't bad either but it is a bit more of a mouthful. What about Amelia Taylor to incorporate your grandfather?

    Some other suggestions:

    Amelia Paige
    Amelia Rose
    Amelia Nicole
    Amelia Diane
    Amelia Ruth
    Amelia Juliet
    Amelia Denise
    Amelia Maeve
    Amelia Marie
    Amelia Elaine
    Amelia Renee
    Amelia Frances
    Amelia Ellen
    Amelia Beatrice
    Amelia Colette
    Amelia Christine
    Amelia Janelle
    Amelia Jasmine
    Amelia Noelle
    Amelia Brooke
    Amelia Nora
    Amelia Willow
    Amelia Josephine

Amelia Taylor is a lovely idea, going to suggest it to my other half and see what he thinks, same with Amelia Willow.

I love Amelia Rose but I have a niece called Millie Rose and not sure if that's too similar.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions :)

It is quite full of Ls, but I don't really see it as that much of an issue. Her full name won't be said all that often. It will usually be Fn Ln, or if she's in trouble Fn Mn.

That's a good point, I didn't really think of it that way. Was just thinking about the 'flow' of the name. Thanks for replying :)
