more delays in finalizing

This week has been a roller coaster. On Monday our attorney called to let us know hr was going to request a court date for our finalization, hooray!

Wednesday he called to say that he received notice that BF hadbrefiled his petition to establish paternity with the juvenile district court... On July 21!! AND that the hearing for said petition is on Wednesday. No idea why they didn't notify him way sooner.

I'm just praying that the judge officially dismisses the filing so that we can get our court date and truly finalize this adoption. Monday marks 8 months with B home.

Thanks. His BM also just texted saying g BF was asking about our next visit and wants to meet us/B. The visit is tomorrow and we had to say no for now because we aren't comfortable meeting before the court hearing. I hope it doesn't dissuade him from wanting to meet in the future. He has refused to meet us up til now because he wanted to fight in court. :-/
