I cought a cold :(

I have a stuffy nouse and im coughing a little , I need to know if i can rub some vicks on my chest ??? Would that affect my baby ?? Please help :(

    Hope your feeling better soon. I'm just starting to feel better. I wanted to rip my face off the past 3 days lol. I use vicks but near my nose and just been taking plain Sudafed which does nothing IMO.

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    I've had this nasty cold and cough for a week now! Wish it would end!! Sucks being pregnant and sick! Hope you feel better soon!

    I was told last week that even for adults now it is for feet only with socks. Something about the inhalants causing mucus to build up. My whole house is sick. You can take Mucinex but not d or dm and I was also told Tylenol cold and flu is okay.

    Mucinex DM should be okay, but the Mucinex D has psuedoephedrine in it. Right now I am taking low dose DM for a hacking chest cough

    My MW told me it was okay to take the basic 12 hour Sudafed (psuedoephedrine) after the 1st trimester is over. I took one dose last week so hopefully the MW is right and/or 1 dose isn't enough to cause problems. I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of freaked out now.
    Don't freak out - 1 dose of anything isn't going to kill you. Most docs say sudafed is fine after first trimester. I'm just extra paranoid that way ;-)

    I wouldn't have survived my cold w/o vicks. I couldn't breathe at night unless I had some on my chest. Everything I read online said it was fine... I felt better about a topical ointment rather than having to ingest sudafed or other decongestants.
