3D Ultrasound Appointment and Glucose test

Had my appt on Wednesday the 24th.. went in thinkin my due date was Dec, 13th. Was told by the u/s tech that the computer has me down for December 19th and she proceeded to do my u/s, did all her measurements and we found baby is still breech, a bit big for his age and that I have a little excess amniotic fluid and where between 5cm- 27cm is normal.. I'm 27.8, so we are waiting results still on the glucose test to rule out GD.. Then I talked to my doctor and he went over the paperwork with me and realized I'm actually due December 6th and that I'm further along than we thought, so baby is right size. so I just turned 30 weeks today baby is healthy as can be aside from the above mentioned things, but still waiting on glucose results.. hoping the excess fluid is just something simple.

Cute pictures! I'm so confused, though. Why in the world would they be changing your due date at this point? That is bizarre. The most accurate u/s are early in the first tri. Measurements taken this late can be way off. I would be extremely concerned about lopping more than a week off your EDD at this point. If you were to be induced for some reason at 37 weeks, you may only be 36 weeks or earlier. Your baby would be a preemie. I can't understand why a doctor would do this.

Sorry this new app cuts off everything I type so I have to keep closing my keyboard to make sure I'm not misspelling anything or missing anything. The verrry first due date I ever got was Dec 6th. That was early in the pregnancy, like 11 weeks.and then around 21 weeks they changed it to the 13th. And I can only assume someone typed the 19th by accident.

ah. Well, weird that they changed it at 21 weeks then. Sorry you've been kind of jerked around. I wouldn't worry too much about your fluid measurement. It's so close to normal and like everything else with u/s, it's an imprecise science.

If you have any questions about excessive fluid feel free to ask me any questions as I am going through it too. They caught it a couple weeks ago and it was 24-25 vm - so the higher end of normal after I was complaining about menstrual cramps. Last week it went up to 30 cm and this wk it went up to 36 cm. I am 28 weeks. Gd ruled out but it is something they are watching w me. On a side note was positive fetalffibernectin test (spelling) and was admitted for fetal monitoring and shot up with steroids thurs and fri. Just make sure to be proactive with it! All related they believe to the excessive fluid.

I was told that the due date wouldn't be changed after first Tri too. That's weird they they keep changing yours.

Appreciate it. Doc said if I don't hear from him within the next few days then there is no bad news.... But if he calls then there is.. I hate that, Idk if I'm not hearing anything because there's no bad news or if they just forgot about me. Lol I'd rather get a call confirming its all good than waiting.

Test came back normal! Whew! Now just waiting for my next two appts to see if he's turned yet and check on the fluid level. One appt on the 15th and one on the 22nd

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought it didn't matter what position the baby is in until much later because they still move around quite a bit at this point?

That's what I figured, but as a ftm, hearing the ultrasound tech sound concerned about it made me do some extra checking lol

My u/s tech said baby is breech and didn't seem worried. It was more an FYI. I read online that most babies turn between 29 and 32 but that it's not even thought about until 36 weeks which is when they get a little twitchy about baby being breech.

Ok....I think i can follow this now.

Glad to hear everything is ok and tests came back normal. Best wishes on getting the roommate moved out...though I am a little surprised he is still there at this point.
