October 2014 Moms

Officially losing my mind..

I feel like I can't do anything right at work or at home. My memory is terrible, and I just seem to mess everything up. I want to just crawl into bed for the next 3 weeks! :( Tell me I'm not alone!

  • So not alone. I tell people "sorry the baby has taken my brain" ALOT
  • Thanks ladies. I feel like I didn't really have this issue last time, but maybe because I have a 3 year old on top of it this time around makes it a little different.

  • Nope, not crazy. If I had to sum up my life right now in one word, it would be "Uuummmm..."

  • This. I wish I had enough leave to just take the next month off.

My favorite comment (told by a supervisor) was brontosaurus brain--there's this little cluster of nerves that everything has to process through before making it back to your brain.

That sounded funnier not written out, but I hope somebody at least gets a smile out of it.

  • Last week we showed up to meet the teacher night and the school was empty. I swore it was that day but I was definitely wrong.

Then we had a bday party to attend and I didn't understand why they planned it for a Tuesday at 12:30. It was actually the Saturday.

  • I'm right there with you! I keep saying I left my brain in 2nd trimester. I can't remember anything at work so I'm constantly writing down things on tiny sheets of paper just to keep my head straight.

My mind literally never fully came back after having DS. We are constantly preoccupied as parents so it's no wonder our brains are wonky. Throw a pregnancy on top of that and we are 2 seconds away from completely losing our minds all together :)

I just want you to know that I use this word ALL THE TIME... TBBFFs. Fo sho.
