Did you gain when you stopped BF?

I was EBF and was taking off some weight. Not sure how much was just from regular initial weight loss after giving birth vs. breastfeeding. I just want to know what to expect. Did you gain any weight when you stopped BF, were you at a plateau or did you still seem to take some more weight off?

    I gained about 11 kilos in total and lost most of it at birth and the first week ( i was pumped up with fluids) but then breast feeding hadnt made me lose the last 4 kilos which i still carry around now at 2 months post partum although i exclusively breast feed pretty much. Am hoping they will drop off once i stop nursing

    I don't feel like I lost anything due to BFing. In fact once I finished BFing 10lbs dropped off within like 2 weeks without me trying anything or dieting. I couldn't believe it. I do think it's a myth that you're just going to drop lbs upon lbs just bc you BF. Your body needs to hold on to aome fat atores to feed that milk factory...

    Same. My doctor said that my body was most likely holding on to some excess water to help with bf. After I stopped, my rings finally fit again and I dropped the last few pounds.

    I have been BFing for 8 weeks and I have lost pregnancy weight and some extra pounds. Definitely don't want to stop BF because I'm scared im going to pick up weight

    With my first, this exactly. I know several other mom friends that have had the same experience as well.
