I'm not following the damn advice from the pediatrician. They mentioned starting DS on cereal at 3-4 months. NO. He will never have baby cereal. I think it's full of crap. At 6 months we will introduce solids and purees of food. I told her this and she tried to explain to help him learn to swallow. Bull. I don't think I was so polite anymore at that point... Oops!
1. I think my daycare lady is sneaking my babe cereal.
I fed him a 4oz bottle that she made and didn't give him and he passed out in a milk coma like a newborn. I give him 4oz, he will lose it until I give him another 1/2 ounce or a pacifier.
There's either cereal or Robitussin in that bottle...
2. Though I enjoy my job, I don't fear losing it anymore. I'd gladly file for unemployment and be a sahm for a season while I searched for something else. There's so much more to life now than pacifying pretentious, punitive people in the work place.
I used to think my parents were kinda crazy, giving me Benedryl before every road trip to get me to sleep. Now that I have a car seat screamer, I totally get it! I don't plan on ever doing it myself, but I totally get it!
I breast feed and I still drink coffee every day...momma can only give up so much.
This. I don't function until I've had my morning coffee and DD doesn't seem any different for it.
Edit: posted too soon
On Christmas, I'm just ignoring it and hoping it goes away this year. I'm visiting family overseas on the actual day so I'm playing the I-won't-even-be-here card.
I always mix my kid's names up. Sometimes with each other. Sometimes with other kids in the family. Occasionally if my brain is in a funk, they become "kid in pink shirt!"
Of course, my older two tease me for this haha and call me old. Gosh...

Me and DH both do this. We also confuse the animals names though - you can tell who gets yelled at the most because we automatically shout Spud (the cat) when someone's up to no good so DD1 has been Spud a couple of times. DD2 is just 'baby' most of the time too, who needs to learn their kids names, right?
LO is wearing a blue sleeper today (yup, still in pjs at 10am! At least I am dressed) and I keep calling her a boy. She just burped and I responded "Good boy!" Oy.

I put Baylor in sleepers every day almost. Pants on infants are complicated.he's dressed. He's warm. He's cute. It's all good
DD is on a nap strike. DH watches her during the day bc he works nights. He has gotten hardly any sleep this week. She's slept 6-7 hour stretches for me every night. I don't dare tell him!
I'm taking my 3 year old to a modeling audition tomorrow. I haven't told anyone because I feel like such a douche for doing it. I'm officially that mom

I don't LOVE DDs name. We had such a hard time picking a name, and I like it, but I'm having trouble getting used to it. I had a name I loved, but DH didn't like it, so I compromised. Sucks.
1. My cat, who is super gentle and adores kids, likes to sleep near the baby on my bed or the couch, sometimes snuggled right up to her. Always supervised and he never goes in her crib or playmat (he chooses not to, which is nice). I let it happen because it's easier than trying to convince him she's not his kitten.
2. OH uses my car for work sometimes because I get better mileage. He has loads of stuff in my car because of that and when he left half a bag of Starburst in there, I ate them and denied all knowledge.
I go back to work in 2 weeks and the realization has just hit me like a ton of bricks. I've turned into a stage 5 clinger with J. Every nap today has been on my chest. Currently he's sleeping on my chest and I should swaddle him and put him in the RnP but I can't because I NEED ALL THE CUDDLES!
I drank a large glass of wine last night and apparently it persuaded me to go a little e-bay crazy....Checked my e-mail this morning and I have several confirmations for various colors of leggings, tights and sweaters. Apparently tipsy me was excited about fall....
I have become obsessed with dipping cinnamon graham crackers in coffee. I have eaten an entire package (1/3 box) each day for three days. I then began rationalizing that at only $2 per box it is a cheaper breakfast than any single trip to a fast food place... Actually I'm not totally convinced that I shouldn't be eating this many graham crackers.
Awww, I hope she comes back to you Mine refuses to sit on adults but he likes to be nearby, he's currently on the back of the couch behind my head. I just gave him a little ear scratch on behalf of your missing kitty.
This makes me sad, my cat I'd had since I was little would sleep on my tummy when I had DD1 but she had to be put down right before baby was born.
I'm ridiculously happy to look at a support thread and see people actually writing "thoughts and prayers" or other notes rather than the "T&P" we started with (and I assume some BMB's have stuck with). It just shows how this group has grown as a community.

3. I bought a humidifier for baby, but I have no clue when I'm supposed to use it. Darn 'must-have' lists...
I once told DS to "sit. stay." because I was a dog mom before I was a person's mom.
He did NOT stay, btw.
