Today I had my first session of aquatic therapy and I wanted to share my experience because I highly recommend it!
The minute I got into the pool the pain from my lower back, pelvis, and pubic region almost completely ceased. We did a few core/resistance exercises and some relaxing hanging exercises using a noodle to help stretch out my spine. I haven't been this pain-free in weeks. I told my doctor about the pain I was having, he referred me to a physical therapist, and my physical therapist started me on aquatic therapy after I expressed interest in pool exercises because of my competitive swimming background. My school has free access to the pool as well, so I plan to spend some time in there too. Seriously, ask your Dr or PT about it if you want to give it a try too-I think you all will be pleased.
Unless you have a fear of water or something.. then stay on land.
