We're a bit lost with girl names. Help me!

Jumping on the name poll bandwagon :)

We'd had our boy name all picked out, but found out we're team pink! I've always loved that I have a unique but not weird name (Willa), and I'd like something similar for my daughter... At least not something she'll have to share with 3 other kids in her class :)

Natalie, Audrey, & Annabell(Anna) are all pretty popular right now. I would go with Madeline or Arden. Of those two, Arden would be the least common.

  • Dang, hadn't realized that. Thanks!

  • I voted Natalie because it is a name we both like but will not be using.  Or Audrey or Madeline.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

  • I went with Arden, too; the rest are very popular right now. I also associate it with Shakespeare, which is never a bad thing in my opinion.
Awaiting our bundle of cute chaos.

  • I really hate to say that none of these are my style at all and most of them quite popular.

    What about:
    Levicy (La-veh-c)
    Savannah
    Eliza
    Adele
    Jessalyn

  • Voted Madeline! ..love them all but Arden. No offense
  • I Voted Audrey because it was on my list and I love it. I had no idea it was so popular. I'll share a few other names I love but DH said no to because someone should get to use them. My list has:
    Eliza, Audrey, Merida and Rosalyn.
    DH said no to:
    Arabella, Arwen, Isadora and Lavinia.

  • I picked Madeline but they are all nice. Not a fan of Arden though because in my head it sounds too close to Aiden.

  • I like Natalie and Madeline but because I'm french I'd spell them Nathalie and Madeleine. Something to make them different from the traditional american spelling :)
  • While I think Anna is pretty popular, I actually love Annabelle as a name! I'm in LA, so the few people I know with that name spell it Anabel (which I think is more common among Spanish speakers), so my only bias is that I prefer that spelling a bit more, as Annabelle looks more like two names put together than one name in itself.

But however you spell it, I do love the musicality of it. All your names are great choices though!

  • I really like Arden. Madeline and Audrey are very popular right now. I wouldn't go with either of those since you don't want her to be 1 of many in her class.

So, seriously though, take a look at the SSA name list from the last like, 5 years. With the exception of Arden (which I LOVE) those are solidly within the top 100, most top 20-40 for awhile now.

    How about:

    Wren
    Bronwen
    Pippa
    Rosalind
    Helena
    Aurelia

  • All are pretty popular in my area except Arden. It reminds me of a last name(Elizabeth Arden). Have you looked at name berry? Based on names you like it makes suggestions for similar names and tells you popularity.

I love Audrey, it was in my list but we found out we're team blue. My other girl names were Vivienne, Victoria, Madelynn, Sophie, and Abigail.
