Does anyone have a helpful chart or guidelines for approx. amount of formula for age. I have a newborn so I know she's eating often but want to have a general idea of how much their little stomachs can handle. TIA
I was always worried about this early on (and still am). From what I could tell it had more to do with weight. Multiply their weight by 2.5; that would be the total daily oz they shoul have. Then divide that as you wish amongst however many feedings they take per day.
This is a guideline though and you're better off letting your LO guide you. They'll generally stop when they're full. If they're polishing off a bottle rather quickly and still seem hungry, offer more.
Here's a chart that might help give you a general idea.
this is so helpful thanks. My LO tends to seem hungry even after fed and then sometimes when I give her more she spits up so I guess its finding a balance
I have a 3 month old and feed pumped breast milk. I've found his appetite changes from day to day - somedays it'll be 4oz every 3 hours and other times it'll be 5 oz. every 3-4 hours depending. He does sleep through the night from 8-9pm until 5-6am. Helpful info though, i'm never sure if I'm giving him enough or not.

DS is six weeks and eats 4 oz. every few hours. Sometimes it's. 2.5 hours, sometimes 4. Bigger babies tend to eat at the upper end of the scale usually.
