Wake baby w/fever to give meds?

im a FTM obviously! My little guy has his first fever from a cold. He had a 99.9 when he fell asleep but his last dose didn't run out when he did fall asleep. Do I wake him and Check him? Will he wake up if it I too high?

    I never wake them up for meds. I've heard that they'll wake up if it's too high. I always felt like the rest was more important, but I'm also scared to wake up my kid, so there's that...

    No, I would never. I feel like the body does a lot of fighting/healing while sleeping. Med him when he wakes.

    99.9 isn't a bad fever for a baby. I would wait until he wakes and then give him meds if it's high. Sleeping helps his body fight off whatever is causing the fever.

    Let that kid sleep! This is the only time I love that Amelia has a feeding tube.
