Busy weekend. Tonight we are going to a friend's 40th birthday party. Friday night events are hard for us, but it's a special celebration so we're trying to make it work. My friend is babysitting.
I'm going to hit up the MOM sale in the morning. My BFF (who just entered her second tri) is going with me. We don't have a lot of time to hang out anymore, so even if the sale is a bust, I get some bestie time.
We have another friend who invited us to his son's 4th birthday party on Saturday. It doesn't start until 5:30pm, which is such an odd time for a young child's party if you ask me. We're gonna try and stop by for a little bit, but Ash starts getting ready for sleep between 7:00 and 7:15 these days, so we can't stay too long. We're not very scheduled parents when it comes to a lot of things, but I'm a stickler about bed time.
We have a 5K to start the day on Sunday, then grocery, cooking, etc.
Sheesh. That's a lot. Happy Friday, everyone!
I live in Philadelphia. The weather has been all over the map lately. The seasons can't really decide what they want to do. Yesterday was cold and rainy, but today is supposed to be a high of 77 and sunny (perfect!). The forecast tells me that it is supposed to be 82 and sunny both Saturday and Sunday. That is definitely warmer than usual for this time of year here.
So, tonight I'm making breakfast for dinner (scrambled eggs with sautéed potatoes and peppers), and we are watching last night's Grey's Anatomy premier that is currently in our DVR. I didn't realize so many shows were coming back this week, and I still had a bunch of random stuff in the DVR from maternity leave that I never got around to watching. Well, now the DVR is 97% full. Woops!
Tomorrow we are dropping off Reese at the groomer in the morning, and then we are headed to a diner where we used to go with J's grandmother all the time. It used to be her grandmother's favorite place for breakfast, and we would pick her up (she didn't drive) and take her there on Saturdays a lot before she passed away. Anyway, we just found out that the diner is closing and this is the last weekend, so we are going to meet J's mom there for breakfast tomorrow. Then we plan to go to the cemetery to visit J's grandmother and leave flowers (since it is right by the diner). Last time we were at the cemetery I was pregnant, and J talked to her grandmother to tell her we were having a little Lucie, named after her. Well, tomorrow when we visit we will have William with us. J's grandmother always had a super sense of humor. I think it will be emotional, but we will likely crack a few jokes about our surprise. After that I am sure Reese will be ready to be picked up from the groomer.... and we will probably do grocery shopping later on in the day...
On Sunday we are going to an arts and crafts festival in a local park that is being advertised as "Bark in the Park," It is sponsored by a local animal rescue organization, and families are encouraged to some and bring their dogs. There will also be an adoption event there for rescued pups. So, we have decided we are going to go and take Reese. I feel like poor Reese hasn't been getting as much attention lately, and when we make plans for fun family things to do on the weekend, she often gets left at home. I am excited to go do something where we will bring her. I am hoping it will be fun. Hopefully later on Sunday there will be time for some relaxing and hanging out also. Oh, and maybe emptying out some of the DVR ;-)
Yeah... I guess we have a semi-busy weekend planned again too... how does this keep happening?!?!?!

Tonight - We are having the kids' friend spend the night again tonight.I will pick her up after work and meet L and our kids at the mall. L is going to get their haircut while they wait for us and then we'll eat dinner and then put everyone to bed at a decent time - since our kids are still hacking up a lung. L and I have a DVR full of stuff to watch.
Tomorrow - Let the kids play/do laundry, take them to a movie, we need to return some stuff and buy the kids' long sleeved uniform shirts. We'll meet up with the friend's family for dinner and drop her off.
Sunday - Church, lunch, flag football practice/game and soccer practice/game (all day...)and then home to get ready for the week. I had no idea that sports were going to take most of our Sunday (2-5:30.) Sigh.
L and I are heading to Dubuque, Iowa for the weekend. L's college roommate and really good friend is getting married and she's in the wedding. We already went to their ceremony a few months ago but this time they are having a full wedding and reception.
Wednesday was our 1 year wedding anniversary so we will be celebrating that this weekend also!

I'm in Indiana. The weather has been amazing here! It's warmed up a little too much for my taste the past few days, but it's still only low 80's as a high. I love that it's cool in the mornings but doesn't get unbearably hot in the afternoons.
I said I was going to start cleaning when I got home from work.... An hour later, and I still haven't done a thing! So hopefully tonight will consist of me getting the motivation to clean up around here and I've got my fingers crossed that J gets home from work at a decent time so we can go have dinner. I feel like I haven't seen her all week....
Tomorrow we're going to a football game with my sister, brother in law, and niece. Then, I think we're all going over to my parent's house to hang out.
Sunday is still plan free. It will probably consist of laundry, a trip to the dog park, possible trip to the store, and I need to go around town getting pictures of the community for a book I'm making for work.
I am in Boston and our weather has been similar to what KH describes in Philly (probably a few degrees cooler). It has definitely felt like fall but will be warm this weekend -- which is kind of nice as it is my last weekend before going back to work! :-S
So the weekend is going to involve a lot of organizing. B starts daycare on Monday so we have to get everything together for him. I need to try on more clothes to see what fits and may have to make a quick mall run to pick up a few things if I don't have enough. I am also changing my commute and need to check out the parking options. I also need to soak up lots of baby time!
My wife took next week off to help ease my transition back to work (and B's to daycare) so she will be around both days this weekend. I hope that will give us time to fit something fun in as well as the organizing and errands and chores. We were invited to my friend's 1yo's birthday party on Saturday, not sure if we'll drop by or not.

We live in southwestern NY, a bit more than an hour south of Buffalo. The weather has been mainly in the mid-upper 60s. The leaves are changing which makes it nice and colorful here.
Tonight I am finally relaxing at home while C is working. I was going to clean, but I've found myself on the couch and that's probably where I'll stay until she gets home.
Tomorrow C and my Dad are going to continue splitting and stacking wood. I'm sure I'll clean and/or spend time outside with our dogs. I would be helping with the wood if it wasn't for this whole maybe being pregnant thing. I asked at our transfer and was told even stacking was off limits.
Sunday we are driving (well C is, I'm just a passenger) one of my Uncle's custom cars to a car show in North East, PA.
We're hoping to celebrate our two year wedding anniversary at some point since it's on Monday and she'll be working two jobs plus starting her Class B CDL class.
In other news, I have no definitive news on the pregnant/not pregnant front yet. I did test Tuesday night and Wednesday morning and got BFNs. Today is the equivalent of 14 dpo (9dp5dt) and I still haven't gotten my period. C thinks it is because I'm pregnan. I think maybe or maybe it's the meds holding things off - not that meds have ever stopped my body before. Either way, I've never made it this far without knowing for certain that it didn't work. I haven't P'dOAS since Wednesday morning.
Me: 30 DW (aka C): 29
Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12
