Hello all, I have been lurking for a bit and saw how supportive and amazing you all are and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Shauntee. My husband and I have been trying for almost four years now. Really, since our wedding night in November of 2010. I was naive enough at that point to wish for a honeymoon baby. I have always had irregular periods but every doctor told me it was stress and weight that was causing it. Between 1/11 and 6/11 I had two cycles and it wasn't until I went in for that issue that I was diagnosed with PCOS. That led to a D&C and my doctor benching us for a year due to a high risk of miscarriage. So, after a year I started Clomid. I did six unsuccessful rounds of 50mg before realizing I should change doctors in 2013. Unfortunately the second doctor was not any better. He also prescribed Clomid. I did 3 rounds of 50 mg and then he bumped me up to 100mg for 3 rounds. None of those were successful. At this point both my husband and I were very discouraged. Luckily, we were able to change our insurance. I was able to finally make an appointment with an RE and that brings us to 7/2014. When both the nurse and my new doc were appalled when they heard that I have taken so many rounds of Clomid, I knew I was finally in competent hands. Our next step is to do our first IUI which we should be doing in October. I am very excited to have a plan in place. It is amazing to have a community that understands what I am going through when most of the people in my world have no clue. I look forward to learning from and sharing with you ladies. Oh and my husband says hi!

  • @rainbowbridge14‌, and @AnnaClaire256‌ Thank you ladies! @iPutKetchupOnKetchup‌ Thank you, and they were OB/GYN's. They both told me they were fertility specialists. I should have run when the nurses had no idea what to do with an infertile woman and needed my doc to tell them what Clomid was and why I have to come in so often.
