Anyone ever seen a desk for two?

I would like to get a desk for my kids for their upstairs common space bc dd has been asking for one to color and work on things upstairs but I think it would also be a great homework space down the road... Her room doesn't have space for a desk in there and while his does I know she would go berserk if he got a desk in his room and she didn't... Plus I think having it in the common area would be nice anyway esp once they are using computers etc. So, looking for something pretty simple that has two seating areas and maybe a couple drawers for each kid on each side. Am I dreaming??

Eta it could be a corner or long straight but can't be the kind where they face each other. A lot I see online are custom built in which would be ok if we thought we would be in the house a long time but we don't. And also not interested in ikea. Maybe I should just buy two small desks lol... Pinterest has some cool DIY ideas but I am so uncrafty...:(

    So, to clarify: I'm not really into decorating and making sure things in my house look all coordinated.  I'm more into practical solutions that are cheap and can be changed as the kids get older. If you're looking for something pretty and furniture-like, you won't love my idea.

    In your situation, I would buy a folding banquet table, 2 folding chairs, and a couple of cheap storage bins to serve as drawers.  Or I would look at the Ikea catalog for home office stuff. I wouldn't look for a specialty item like a double kids' desk.  An item like that is bound to be pretty expensive for the limited time it will be in use.  Right now, your kids are at an age where they are fine with sitting next to each other to do homework.  That's probably going to change in a few years.

    She is actually having a hissy fit about the double desk idea and she is very fixated on having a desk w drawers etc.... Zero idea where this whole thing came from...ugh

    I would just buy two small desks so you have more flexibility, especially if you find they end up messing with each other and you need to separate them more.
    Can I ask why you're not interested in Ikea? We have an Ikea desk now for one of our twins and it was very reasonably priced and he loves it.

    I just hate assembling things, to be honest. And also the nearest Ikea is 2 hrs away and it irks me that they have zero online or phone ordering (except from Pittsburgh but only small little things can be shipped or something).  And I've owned a lot of ikea in my 20s & don't like the quality overall, just my opinion. Plus it moves terribly and we move a lot ---in fact we have had movers who will actually include a clause that they won't be responsible for anything happening to those pieces.
    But alternatively, I'm not sure I want to buy them some high cost desk at this point anyway, soooo.. I'd be up for something more basic and simple assembly if it could be shipped to my house I guess. Or if I could pay for assembly ;).  I would get ikea chairs for their desk if there were one closer by b/c I think they have really fun chairs...

    Now that she is freaking about the idea about sharing a desk, I'm thinking I might just find 2 lower end ones and invest in something else later in a different house.  She actually pointed out where seh thought we could put 2 small desks in our upstairs space so she is troubleshooting it for me LOL. I was at PBK today and they have the perfect desk...for $600... I can't bring myself to pay that when it is sort of a teeny elementary school kid desk & I know it won't be something they'll want to have as they get older.  I think I just need to start hitting the local furniture stores & see what I can come up with...

    Aw.  Bummer.  Maybe hold out and see if she moves on to something else?
