AW - NT scan and drama at OBs office

Yesterday I had my NT scan. Apart from the fact that baby would not stop flipping about in there and refused to get into optimal position it went really well. The doctor managed to get a quick look at the nuchal fold which she said measures 1.4mm (she said it's only when its 3mm or over that it may be a concern) which I'm very happy with. Because baby wouldn't get into the right position she couldn't get a good look at the nasal bone but she said everything else measures perfectly on track and she isn't concerned. She said she will get me to go in for a quick scan after my appointment next week to see if she can get a good shot of the nose. She made us a really cool DVD with the scan on it. Very cool for showing family!

The dramatic part came when DH who was parked next to me in the car park (we drove separate cars because we both came straight from work) pulled out in his huge work truck and smashed straight into one of the OBs in her car! It wasn't anyones fault, there just so happened to be a huge beam next to DHs truck which neither he nor the OB could see past and so basically DHs tow bar acted as a can opener to the side of the OBs car! Her car is a total mess and DH's truck hasn't even got the slightest scratch. Nobody was hurt, thank God and insurance will cover it but the poor OB was so shook up, she was on the edge of bursting into tears. It's sure going to be majorly awkward walking into her office for the first time... X_X

Sorry that a good appointment ended a bit rough. Glad nobody got hurt.

Glad to hear the scan went well. Mine was yesterday also and the baby wasn't flopping too much but was in a tough position for her to get the measurement but she said she got two of 1.4mm which was good. Yay for good scans!

First off congrats on great scan! Yay! Sorry it kinda ended on bad note:( but no one was hurt and that is what matters! It will be kinda a funny story to tell LO later;)
