october too late for garage sale???

Okay so my blood test came back girl but wanna see ultrasound first its oct 8. We have a ton of boy stuff as we have 2 and 4 yr old boys. It needs to go if this is a girl. This money will help get her things. If its decent out I looked weather is suppose to be in 70s that weekend. Would you ladies attend a fall sale if weather is right? I dont wanna waste time if no one will show. And I mean a ton of boy clothes toys and crib bedding set like new. I have missed all the local children resales and don't trust once upon child. I even have new clothes with tags that store refuses to take back lol. Do you attend local fall garage sales?

Yes, do it. You can also find a local kids thrift shop that does a credit program so you can trade in the boy stuff for a discount on your final purchase.

I guess it depends where you live. I am in Alabama and October is weather perfection. We are planning a yard sale for October 6th and lots of people do them into October around here. It's so much nicer than July sales where it is too stinkin hot to be out and about.

Do you have plenty of other stuff than just boys kids items? Just make sure you put on the ads and signs that it is mostly kids stuff because otherwise it is pretty disappointing for all of the people who follow the signs for a while just to see a sale with nothing they could need.

I passed by about 20 while taking dd to school today. As long as its a nice day i dont think anytime is a bad time for a garage sale.

I say it depends on where you live. As others have said here in Texas or in the South its the perfect weather to.

But if you lived up north you might freeze your ass off.

I had the same thought, CO is iffy in Oct so I decided to wait til spring (my husband is going to kill me) but I think we'll have more to get rid of then

I live in north west indiana I did look at extended weather not that its always right here. Lol but says sunny and 70. Other problem is that we live in middle of nowhere.I have ten yr old daughter that out grew ton of stuff too so that would be included. We just moved here in june so we probably have lot stuff still packed that could go. I guess time will only tell if I should do it or wait. Consigment shops like 45 mins away. And idk exactly how they work I know one you don't get the money til your item sells. And I've heard once upon child rips you off. I don't over charge for my stuff. I don't think 1.50 to two bucks is bad for outfit that's in excellent condition. But heard once upon child won't even give you that but turn arpund and sell it for 10 bucks

I think Garage sales are a-ok all year around! People are always out shopping, ofcourse if its blizzard or a storm you may need to reschedule!

More power to you to do it! Hubby and I have garage sales until the snow starts to fall here in Nevada! So from April to November is garage sale season for us! If the weather is nice I would do it!

You could sell bundles of clothes on eBay. There's also local kids consignment groups on Facebook. Do a search and you should find one near you. Craigslist can be another option.
