Ugh. Hips!

I'm to the point where I take Tylenol every night before bed just so my sore hips will let me sleep through half the night. I forgot to take it last night and DH said I was groaning in my sleep every time I moved. Antone have any tips on how to deal with this? I do all of the traditional remedies (pillow between my knees, stretching, exercise, etc), but does anyone have any other tips? If I'm in this much pain now, I don't even want to think about how I'll feel in a couple of months.

Re: Ugh. Hips!

  • A physical therapist. For serious, I went from constantly uncomfortable to better than ever. Some pain alleviated right away, but all of it over 2-3 weeks of treatment.

Then I was discharged, and 3 weeks later I am not so patiently waiting for my next OB apt to request another referral because I am in pain again! I will be having a bimonthly appointment until I deliver, with extra appointments as necessary.

  • Try arnica gel or tincture; rub it over your sore hips, it should work to alleviate the pain, though it won't cure it by any means. It helps a lot with achey muscles, but I dunno how well it'd work with hips. It's my go-to stuff whenever I'm super sore!

  • What about Biofreeze? It's temporary but it helps with my sciatica pain.

@southernyankeegirl what exactly did they do for you? Curious because I have never been to one but would like to know what to expect.
