embarassing teacher story here, you can laugh :-)

I had my normal queasiness this morning and started to feel better as I ate some toast & OJ on my way to work. I got to work & just before the bell rang for my students to come in I got very nauseas, more then I ever have. I breathed my way through it and let me students do their seat work for a little longer while i tried to feel better. I got my kids to the rug getting ready for the next thing and I immediately realized i was going to throw up. I tried to run to the bathroom right outside my door and i made it to my classroom door and vomited all over. Needless to say I sent my kids outside and called my front office for assistance. I felt sooo much better but decided to take the day off in hopes that people will think i just got the flu. I mean, hey I work with kids! It was embarassing but oh well. I hope you get a little laugh out of it. Feel free to share you embarassing pregnancy related stories.

  • OMG! Haha! What did the kids do/say?

  • All I remember is one kid asking what happened so I said I don't feel well, grabbed a tissue & told them there was a change of plans and they needed to head outside. I didn't see them after that before I left. I'm sure I will get questions tomorrow, they are kinder so they may not care too much.

  • Oh man I can't imagine having to sit in front of a classroom full of kids feeling like this. Major kudos to you teachers! I'm a nurse and at least in most situations I can excuse myself and run out of the patient's room if needed.
