Hi all! I'm an infertile (dx - unexplained) who was lucky enough to conceive our son via our 3rd fresh IVF in 2011 (he was born in April 2012). We've been trying for a sibling since July 2013 with no success. We've done one additional fresh cycle and 4 frozen cycles, two of which resulted in chemical pregnancies. The last chemical was back in June of this year. I ended up having to get a methotrexate shot to resolve the miscarriage completely, so I've been out of the game for the past three months (our doctor made us wait due to the toxicity of methotrexate). We're about to dive back in with another frozen cycle, hopefully in October or November.
As a known infertile the first time around, I'm not sure I really fit the "secondary" definition, but I'm not sure where else I would fit. I definitely don't want to post on the infertility board because I know how hurtful it can be (whether rational or not) for people with kids to complain to people who haven't been able to have even one. I find that in some ways for me it's easier this time (at least I get to be a mom and there are no surprises left in the IVF process) and in some ways it's harder (I think about how being an only child might impact our son and I'm 38 now - so age isn't on our side with IVF).
Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Thanks all!
@hoppin747 - So sorry for your losses as well. We're finding age (almost) 2.5 to be completely hilarious and pretty frustrating sometimes. The language development piece is amazing to watch! How are you finding it?
@potatocastillo - That's great that you were able to get pregnant on your own, though I'm sorry that the outcome was an ectopic. We didn't do anything to prevent pregnancy for about a year after our son was born and no dice. Although I will say that having an infant isn't exactly conducive to regular sex, so weren't trying particularly hard. Unfortunately at this point, due to my age, I feel like I don't really have time to waste on putting months of effort into the old fashion method.
