I had an appointment with the endocrinologist 4 weeks ago. They lowered my synthroid from 200mcg to 175mcg even though my levels were at the high end of normal.
She told me to call in two weeks if I wasn't feeling better. So at two weeks I called the office and said my symptoms had intensified. I never received a call back. So I called again a few days later. No call.
So, Monday I got my blood drawn for labs. They did a TSH, free T4, and for some reason a CMP. My follow up appointment was today. Last time my labs were done my TSH was 3. This time around it is 12pointfucking54.
Its good to know I'm not an idiot when it comes to knowing what my body needs. But its also extremely annoying that doctors never listen to me. And if they had called me back two weeks ago maybe I wouldn't have spent a month feeling so extremely exhausted.
Conclusion to this, they upped my synthroid to 200. I'm guessing it will be upped to 225 at the next appointment.
