I am freaking out a little bit. I had Passion Tea from Starbucks this morning, I was avoiding caffeine. But then I just realized that the herbs might not be safe. I didn't finish the tea at all. Maybe I drank 1/4 of a tall cup. The ingredients are hibiscus flowers join with subtle citrus notes of lemongrass and tart rose hips. And I'm trying to search and search and looks like majority of what I'm reading says it's bad. I'm hoping that it will not cause anything bad to my babies. I'm currently at 7 weeks (first pregnancy and having twins) and I am freaking out. I feel like now I have to google everything before I eat anything. Did anyone else drink the same thing when they're on their first tri?
I drank it a few times during my last pregnancy. My dd turned out just fine. I'm pretty sure the issue is that it can possibly cause contractions. If you're not having cramps I'm sure you're fine. A little bit most likely not hurt, if you were drinking gallons of it, I might worry. But I'm also not a doc...
Did you say "tart" rose hips?!? Tart rose hips are the most dangerous of all rose hips! Your baby may turn out to be a tart. Take a deep breath and chill. There's no need to work yourself up about every little thing.
You only drank 1/4 of the smallest size they offer right?!?!?! This means only 1/4 of your body will turn pink. Let's hope it can easily be concealed with clothing.
I'm sure your OB gave you a sheet of foods to avoid. You might want to read that to save yourself from any future freak outs.
Wow. I had a venti passion tea from Starbucks a week or two ago... I thought it was delicious and refreshing. Otherwise I didn't even think about it.
Remember, ladies. Our mothers didn't have the luxury of knowing they were pregnant until they were about 3 months along. Assuming most of you are in your 20's or 30's it's safe to assume all our moms had to miss at least 2 or 3 periods before their doctors would see them.
Guess what my mom did? She enjoyed her wine, coffee, and smokes all the way up until she was 3 or 4 months pregnant with me. Here I am, an articulate and happy, healthy adult. Our kids will be just fine after drinking herbal tea.

For God's sake.
