Ah! I didn't even think about displaying our monthly pics. I've have to figure something out.
Party planning is going pretty good. My big activity plan is a photobooth so I got a tripod thing and downloaded a neat photobooth app. I bought a bunch of stuff on Amazon for people to put on for the pictures. Since the theme is Wes Anderson movies, I've got a raccoon skin hat (not real), some binoculars, an explorer hat, bandanas, and some other stuff but my FAVORITE thing I got for the party was a bunch of bulk felt berets. Why buy one beret for $12 when I can get a dozen for $15? I mean, come on. No question which is the better choice.
I think we decided on a theme. So now I have a date and a theme. Working on location today. I called the park I am thinking about and am waiting for a call back. They have a splash pad but I need to make sure it will be on, because that's the best part.
We are doing a girly monster party. Glitter, tutus, and monster masks! I am considering hiring a face painter but then again, face paint and water play probably isn't the best idea. Hmm. Maybe I should think of another location..,
A's party is
10/4 and planning is going good. I just have to get it in gear this weekend and
get all of my crafts completed. I bought a big wooden A the deco podge pictures
onto. I was going to put random pics on it, but now I am thinking that I should
do the month pictures (except that I wouldn't have a 12 month picture yet...).
We are going to do a “purple, shabby chic picnic.” We are having
BBQ food and renting a bounce house, which doesn’t go with the theme at all,
but the kids will love it. We are planning for it to be outside (please don’t
let it rain!!) and set up tables with purple table clothes. I am having one of
those birthday signs made that shows A’s likes and size. I am planning to make
all of the décor, so if I don’t get in gear our theme will go from purple
shabby chic picnic to eatn’ BBQ beside a bounce house.
I'd love to hang them in a timeline... I just can't find a good spot to actually hang them. We're having the party in my parent's detached garage. My dad has tons of stuff up on the walls so there's really not a place to hang anything. I'm hoping it'll be nice so that we can have the garage doors open, otherwise I might post them on the back of the doors.

I'm sort of stuck myself as to where to put them. This looks like a nice compact idea:
@deedee1017 - that is a super cute idea!! I think I actually have a place to put them if I hang them like that! I was thinking of huge pictures with a list of everything he did that month because you know.. I like to make as much work for myself as possible! lol

I know what you mean. I want to wallpaper my entire house in every picture i've ever taken.
LITrally just finished this today. I need to find a wooden frame - DH said he would make one but he is deft too busy so I'll probably check out goodwill this week.
I just realized that I haven't actually printed the month photos of A yet (how did I not realize this!?!?!?). Shutterfy can guarantee them by Wednesday for and extra $25. What printing place do you use?
I usually choose between CVS or Walgreens if I'm in a hurry and don't want to spend a crazy amount on shipping or don't have free credits. One of the two usually has a coupon code for 40%-50% off.

I need some pics printed, too! Someone HALP! Best/fastest/cheapest picture printing!?
These are such cute ideas. I have to get on the party planning. I want to do something with her monthly pics, but not sure where to display them. Maybe the fridge? haha

I am 4 days out and I think everything is under control... The pictures won't be here until Friday, so I will get to be crafty all night long, but that's ok. I just keep telling myself, if something doesn't get finished, I am the only one that will notice. I just need to be rested and relaxed adn enjoy the day of celebration!!

Our party is this Saturday as well. I need to print some pictures off soon. I'll probably place the order tomorrow and pickup on Thursday. I'm baking the cake for the cake balls on Thursday and then I will assemble them on Friday. Her cake is going to be baked on Friday and I'll probably decorate it Saturday morning.
At some point I need to buy the food for the sandwiches we are putting together. And then assemble those...hmm, I still have a lot of work to do.

Costco. 1 hr, $0.19 each, good quality!
My dilemma is whether to do navy blue or red tablecloths and plates. Attached is our thank you card so you get the theme/colors. Thoughts??
