Sneezing

does anyone else suffer from bad bouts of sneezing? Does it wake you up at night? I'm 10+3 weeks and I must sneeze around 100 times+ a day and then again at night it's driving me nuts!!! Any help to stop would be great (already take daily dose of antihistamines due to dairy allergy)

Re: Sneezing

  • I have been sneezing a ridiculous amount lately but I fully attribute it to seasonal allergies.

  • I usually don't have fall alleries but I've been constantly stuffy and had several multi-day bouts of sneezing throughout this pregnancy. I finally picked up some nasacort and am getting some relief. It is a pain though. I hate when you nose is constantly irritated like that.
  • I am definitely sneezing more and when I do they are big ones that hurt!

  • Yeah I've noiced the longer it goes on the more it hurts :( as I say I take antihistamines daily but it doesn't seem to touch it, I don't normally suffer from seasonal allergies just fed up as it's disrupting my sleep :(
  • I cant stop sneezing either. I find trying to breathe through my nose like a yoga breath helps a bit.
  • I don't sneeze terribly frequently, but probably 3-4 times a day the past few weeks (far more than normal). When I do sneeze they are sudden and violent and I nearly throw out my back each time.

  • I have a dairy allergy and pet hairs, dust etc due to my asthma but apart from that nothing else and my antihistomeine normally works no problem but since I became pregnant its100 times worse :(

Yes I get a pain in my lower tummy after I've sneezed around 10 times but as soon as it starts it goes away again!

I hate the fact I'm sneeZing so much it's driving me insane!
  • I've always been an obnoxious sneezer.  It's usually no less than 6+ times in a row and people usually give me the side eye and say "bless you?", thinking I'm coughing.  It's not cute. My only concern with this while pregnant, is I'm afraid I'll pee once the baby is bigger, which is also not cute.

Anyway, to help @proudmummy15, my OB said I could take Claritin, only the kind without "D" for seasonal allergies.  I haven't tried yet, but talk to your doctor, maybe that would help?
  • I've been sick with a cold all week. Dry nose and throat that hurt. Then sinus pressure around my eyes. Constant sneezing and coughing :(
  • I get allergies in the spring and fall every year and I've been sneezing a lot. Mine does hurt sometimes in my lower abdomen but what's really aggravating is when you sneeze and end up peeing a little lol
  • I'm sneezing all day long!!  And now RLP is starting to kick in so every sneeze sounds like this, "Achooo....OWW!!!!..... Achooo.... OWWW!!"  on repeat, lol

I am a fellow obnoxious multi-sneezer. I always get weird looks and comments from customers when it happens at work. My coworkers know to wait to make sure I've finished before they say "bless you".

  • It is so nice to hear other people with my symptoms !!!! I am 13 weeks pregnant and have advanced to a constant cold. Sneezing and runny stuffy nose all day and night. My dr has not mentioned pregnancy rhinitious however I have been reading so much about it! My dr said I could take Claritin without any letters but thus far that has failed to help me. Even to hear that maybe it will past after your first trimester would be a huge relief! Unfortunately I'm reading it gets worse!!! Someone please tell me that's not true!
