Are your kids eating a ton??

Since DD started pre-school she is eating a ridiculous amount of food.
She has breakfast before she goes
Snack at 10:30
Lunch at 12.  (sandwich, 2 or 3 snacks such as applesauce, goldfish, fruit etc..)
Since she has been home she has had fruit, applesauce, and a kid cliff bar.
She probably need more snacks before dinner and then eat all of that too!

Can prek really be making her THAT hungry???

She just does not stop eating lately...is this normal and I am just used to her being a selective eater?

  • My kids go through phases like that. Usually means a growth spurt is coming and it settles down after a bit.

  • Maybe it's a growth spurt.  But it's been almost all month so far.  Since we moved to Alabama.  Think it's the fresh air?  haha

  • Our 5yo goes through phases where he half heartedly picks at every meal (and probably only eats a 1/3 of what he was given that day) and then he goes through phases where he requests seconds and thirds of each meal.

My grocery list shows that he's in the latter phase...

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
  • My oldest eats four larger meals and two snacks a day. You have to bribe my youngest to eat. Might be a growth spurt, might be her new eating pattern.
