Not Amabel - this isn't the 12th century unfortunatly, though it is growing on me - as long as you aren't saying it like A-May-bel which is not nice at all
Mabel is nms but isn't bad, but does remind me of a dog
Anabel/Anabelle/and the other spellings is better - and is the same name obviously as the others, but of course is more known
Amabel is actually older than Annabelle. Annabelle is derived from Amabel.... But with that said Amabel is never used anymore so yes, it might seem made up.
I like Mabel. I think it's super cute. I don't like Amabelle. Does it rhyme with Annabelle? I think people would constantly think it was Annabelle and that would get annoying.
Thanks for the input y'all! Neither are amazing names to me just trying to think of other options. The only girl name I have now is Amelie. I like Annabelle, had a kitty with that name though

I like Amabel but would worry that people would assume that it's a you-neek Anabel. Your call on whether or not that would bother you.
