The only boy name that we agreed on is Carlin. I'm not sure if we are ever going to need it, but I still like it if we were to have another and it was a boy.
I was just thinking about boy names earlier today.
Here are my current faves, some for first names, some middle, in no particular order...
Tobias, Bennett (ignore this one for your purposes), Pierce, Gabriel, Dean, Elijah (Eli), Nolan, Noah, Graham, Sebastian
Apparently we have similar tastes in boy names @rugbymama. We've used 2 of those names, Tobias was one of my favorites (DH didn't like it), and Noah and Sebastian were on my list as well at some point.
Sorry i was a post and run lol. We had agreed on Heath Michael and i Love it. I feel like throwing a tantrum bc he's having second thoughts. I also like Elliot and Logan. He likes Ryder and i can't stand it. Sigh
I don't like sharing name ideas. I'm weird and don't want other people's opinions and I don't want to influence someone's choice and for them to pick a name I like.

As if I own the names I like
Lol, I only share names I like but for one reason or another wouldn't consider.

Too funny! Now if I could only get the chance to use one of them! :-)
Do people not choose more traditional names anymore? Michael. Matthew Robert. James. Benjamin
Not that i don't like some names from now-but I can't get behind some of them
I love Benjamin, but DH says he doesn't like B names (no idea why). Matthew is my brother's name, so that's out for me, and I'm not a fan of Robert. Michael and James are nice, though.
Michael was my dad's name. We called him Mike. That's why i wanted to use it. He said today that he likes Micah!
If you use it be prepared for people to always spell it wrong and tell you what an incredibly unique name it is. At least once/month I have some variation of this conversation:
"Micah. That's such a different name. Did you make it up?"
"Uh no, it's actually pretty old"
"Really? It sounds like trying to modernize the name Michael"
"Nope. It's a really old name. Like prophet in the Old Testament old"
This is shocking to me.
People are so stupid.

I think it's a great biblical name. I also feel like it does sound similar to Michael so it's like i get to honor my dad with it too SO's first name is Elijah but he goes by a different name. He suggested Micah Elijah. Might be too many "uh" sounds But i kinda like it

What about Hunter Michael? Too similar to H?
ETA: I really like Heath. Tell SO that the CD board voted and he's outnumbered.

Edited to add: my husband really wanted Sherlock, Requiem, or Rhaegar. Very cool names, but I just couldn't get on board.

How many syllables? Calvin Neumann, for example, sounds closer than say Calvin Zimmerman.

But really, I think names should be meaningful to the family, so outside input is pointless to me.
I'm all, "you don't know me!"
