LO says Yeah, Hey, and Mama. And by saying, I mean repeating when you say it, if he's in the mood. But, for the record he said mama before dada. So I win. We've both been coaching him for months
Sorry, but that's what it sounds like! A long string of mamamammmms and mmaaaammmmeeeees with a few boos buhs bahs and a rare duh or da (like the da at the beginning of daddy) Lots and lots of mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmms

Charly babbles a lot but never mamamamamama or dadadadada. Lots of 'throaty' sounds like he's gasping for air but he isn't. It's weird. Lol. And when we sing ABCs he makes noises so im convinced he knows his ABCs and just can't vocalize it yet
Lots of mamama sounds, and every once in awhile a dadada sound. Sometimes it's just random sounds but she says it with such intonation that she sounds like she's having a conversation with me :x
Kinda sad because he hasn't started babbling yet. All he does is grunt, yell, cry and laugh. He will look for me when you ask "where's mama?" but no progress on talking yet....also no crawling yet, just turning himself in circles.
Mama was his first word. H and I would sit on either side of him and I would say mama while LO was looking at me then he would look at H and H would say dada. After LO started saying mama, H would say no dada and LO would laugh and say mama. We think it's because H and I would go back and forth with him.
He also says hey (really loud and drawn out), bye, nuh uh and yeah (occasionally)
We DID have a lot of babbling until DH started play growling with him, now he thinks it's hilarious to growl all the time.... Sometimes when he's upset he will say a variation of mamama, I win!
Lots of random noises (and the shrieking, my God the shrieking), but no real constant sounds yet. I know linguistically most kids get D first so I'm been coaching her on "Dada" but nothing yet! (Not that I think she'll actually associate it with MH for a long while yet, but it'd still be nice to hear.)

Re: Babbling Babies
I voted SS. R says Karla, yes, ok, and I love you. Sometimes he says dada and it gets awkward.
ok.... he doesn't really say these words, except for dadada. But I swear he says my name and then I correct him and tell him to call me mom.

He also says hey (really loud and drawn out), bye, nuh uh and yeah (occasionally)
