Re: ** TTCAL check-in 9/18 **

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey? Cycle 1, CD 23, FF says 8 DPO, think 9 DPO.

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming? Nope

QOTW: How long after loss did you start trying to conceive again? We waited a year, partially because our OB encouraged us to wait that long for my health, and also because we wanted plenty of time to grieve and focus on Colton.

Open Topic: What is on your mind this week? When to test? Could it be positive? Am I ready for it to be positive? What if it's negative? How tough will that be? This is our first cycle TTCAL so it has been emotional. I am at peace about trying again for another baby and all the anxiety and stress of that, and as much as I want to be pregnant, I also think I'll feel okay if I'm not yet.

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey? Cycle 5, CD 34, 3 DPO (FINALLY :( )

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming? Not for now.

QOTW: How long after loss did you start trying to conceive again? I think it was 7-8 months. I had a C-section, so we wanted to give It more time after that. I think it was good to wait that long. I was definitely not ready before that. The first two cycles were really hard emotionally. Now I just feel like I'm ready to get this show on the road and trying not to be too impatient.

Open Topic: What is on your mind this week? I really hoped that I would be pregnant by the time Zedekiah's birthday comes around next month. There's still a chance, but I'm trying to prepare myself for that maybe not being the case. I think it has gotten harder each month that we've gotten closer. I'm not really sure why it seems like such a big deal to be pregnant by then. I know it won't change much. Zedekiah's birthday and the anniversary of his death (4 days later) are still going to be so hard. I guess I just think it would some how make it just a tiny bit easier.

  • @stefuge‌: I hope the 2ww isn't driving you too crazy. GL if you (when you) decide to test!

@GymSpaz26‌: I think the thought of being pregnant through Zedekiah's first birthday and angelversary sounds completely normal. FX for this cycle!

Is pissed off an acceptable answer here? Just shy of 8 months since losing our boys; 2 failed frozen embryo transfers; IVF #6 coming this Fall.

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?
Nope...just chilling on BCPs waiting for my protocol.

QOTW: How long after loss did you start trying to conceive again?
Loss was in January; transabdominal cerclage was in March; first FET was in May. There is a lot of hurry up and wait during infertility treatments.

Open Topic: What is on your mind this week?
Hmmmn....what is most on my mind is getting rid of FB. I have unfollowed no less than 8 people this past WEEK after surprise sibling announcements or births flooded my feed. Why do I torture myself? I need to pretend it is 2003 and that FB doesn't exist. I find myself isolating myself even more following these past 2 failed cycles, as everyone's happy news just makes me more sad for our situation.

  • @Maybe Joleisa‌ - I'm so sorry things are so crappy! I can't relate to all of the IVF myself, just through friends and family who have been there, and am just so sorry. I agree FB can be the worst. Shortly after our loss, I unfriended anyone who had a baby, was pregnant, or might be getting pregnant. I couldn't handle any more announcements either.

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey? CD 23- 10 days past trigger so probably 9 DPO. I don't even know what cycle... Stopped counting.

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming? Just either blood test/ultrasound if this is positive or next cycle CD14 for another ultrasound & trigger.

QOTW: How long after loss did you start trying to conceive again?
probably about 7-8 months or so. We knew it was going to take a long time again.

Open Topic: What is on your mind this week? Could this be it? I feel the closest to BFP as I have since I got pregnant with the babies in Dec 12. Just so ready to feel a baby growing again but also terrified.

    @stefuge‌ GL... we're cycle buddies!
@Maybe Joleisa‌ I'm so sorry, this has been such a difficult road. I hear ya about FB! I need to stop torturing myself.
@GymSpaz26‌ I totally feel ya on wanting to be pregnant on that first birthday/anniversary. I thought it would help soften the blow a little. GL mama!
  • @schulme2 - Oh, I hope this is it for you!  FX!  I am back on CD1, so no good news here.  Boo.  FX that this is the cycle and we are celebrating for you soon!

  • @stefuge‌ thank you. I'm sorry! So, how do you feel?
  • @schulme2‌ - The day AF showed I was definitely disappointed. But then CD2 I was already back at "maybe we just aren't ready yet" and "this is certainly easier than all the stress and anxiety of PGAL." So, yeah. Still trying to figure it all out. The idea of being pregnant again is full of excitement and anticipation and hope and nerves and anxiety and worry.
