I am having a really bad day - updated

I noticed a little spotting this morning, but it subsided by the end of the day. I called my OB office and nurse thought it was just irritation and that I overdid it. Then, I stop by the grocery store on my way home and I started having really bad pain in my left side, almost to the point where I couldn't walk.

Now I am waiting in labor and delivery to get everything checked (per OB's orders) alone bc H is out of town this week for work. He is driving back now, but it will be a couple hours. Baby is movin and groovin, so hopefully it is nothing serious.

I need distraction. Funny GIFs anyone?

Update - I am home. They didn't find any signs of preterm labor, UTI, or kidney stone. I'd rather have it be nothing than something, I guess. Just going to take it easy for a while.

My cervix is closed and no sign of contractions, so baby is good. They are trying to figure out if it may be a kidney stone.

This is good to know... I had the same pain as the OP a few weeks ago minus the spotting and they couldn't figure it out. It's only really bad when i'm dehydrated.

I definitely was not dehydrated. I have a 22 oz water bottle at my desk that I had refilled at least 5 times through out the day. I drink water like it is my job - I did long before I was pregnant, so it is just natural for me. I still have a small amount of tightness in that area today. At this point, I am just glad the baby is fine.

Sorry you had to go through that! I had the same thing with my last pregnancy. They couldn't really tell me why I was spotting. Its a scary experience. Glad everything is okay!
