Gifts for second time moms?

I'm a FTM myself but have two gals I'm super close with, one due the day before me and one 9 days after. Both are on their second. They are both attending my shower this weekend but not having their own. I want to get them something but not sure what. Any suggestions?

What about getting them a necklace? A girlfriend of mine got me a necklace from https://www.mommyjewelry.com/ with my son's name and birthstone (this was a month or so after he was born since we were team green). Then, when I had my daughter,that same friend got me a charm with my daughter's name and birthstone to add to my necklace. I absolutely love it!

***There are likely plenty of different websites for the same type of idea, I just included the one my friend used

Maybe a gift card a to a restaurant you know they like or Starbucks or something? We got some of those after we had DD and it was so nice to be able to get some take out those couple days after we got home and not have to worry about cooking anything.

I second the ideas already mentioned and would say a gift card for a mani pedi, spa treatment or hair salon is nice! Or a nice frame for a family portrait?

I like the gift card idea or bringing over a meal. Some new clothes for the baby is always nice, too. I have given A&A blankets for a 2nd baby, as well.

My SIL is due about three months after me, and I was thinking about getting her something too. She is having a girl, so I was just going to buy her a cute outfit for the baby, and maybe a gift card for a pedi for herself. If not a pedi, I might just get her a Starbucks gift card or something so she can pamper herself.

I agree with the mani/pedi gift card or something she can spoil herself with. My birthday is coming up and that is what I am hoping to get!

I don't know your budget, but when DS was born, my sister gave me a house cleaner to clean the house, and it was awesome. But that may be out of your budget for a friend.

Gift cards to a spa, an offer to babysit the older kids, or some ready-made food. My friend has given me some of these "food or drink of the month clubs" https://www.amazingclubs.com/?gclid=CLz1xbm798ACFZJr7Aod_CkANA. The bagel club was amazing when I was super nauseous in my first tri (she didn't plan it that way - she didn't even know I was pregnant).

As a STM I would really appreciate either a gift card for food after baby, something to pamper myself with, or even something special for DD.

Thanks, ladies! Great ideas! Yes @lovebuggies1‌ I'm on mobile and feared as I was typing it that there were probably similar threads!

I kicked around the idea of a pedi but then I didn't know when they'd be able to use it?? Watching the older kids isn't really an option as I'm having a baby the same week (or so) myself!

@ccam‌ bringing over meals has been my go to before but again, I'm having a baby the same week and don't suspect I'm going to have energy to cook for my own family!

I would love to have someone gift me a house cleaning service!!

But for a smaller gift, I think an iTunes gift card is a great gift, especially if she's nursing (and owns an iPhone...). She can use it to purchase a new eBook, or game app, or something to help pass the time when nursing. Along with a Starbucks or whatever coffeeshop gift card.

You can always make it in advance and stick it in your freezer chances are it's going to go into theirs anyways!

Exactly what I was going to say! Make it a freezer meal, even if you give it to them to put in their freezers.

I'd also recommend the Starbucks/other-coffee-shop-they-like cards because thy provide a great excuse to get out of the house in those first days/weeks when you don't feel like you can get far with a LO.

As a beyond-stm, I say, FOOD!!! Gift Cards and meals rock! One less thing for mama to worry about.
