I have a preference for what gender baby I have this time. Of course, I want it to be healthy but I really, really want a girl.
Maybe it's more of a confession but when I was pregnant with my son, people would rip others apart if they hinted that they we disappointed at the gender.
@PinkRoses53 - I think there is a difference between having a preference and sounding like you would be disappointed if the baby was the "wrong" gender/sex.
My UO - I dislike pumpkin flavored stuff.
Everyone gets so excited for fall because of pumpkin spice lattes and I'm just like give me football, chili and apple cider!

I'm not going to lie. I will be a disappointed if I don't ever had a daughter (this is probably our last baby). Not that I don't love/want this baby if he's a boy but I've always envisioned being the mom of at least 1 daughter. I will be sad if I never get that. I dont think it makes me love this baby any less. It's more mourning the idea of never having something I've always wanted.
I totally didn't mean pumpkin up there, haha... I meant apple! Meant to ask if you liked anything apple, then you're sorta forgiven (whoosh, lack of sleep).

Love apple stuff! Apples with caramel, hot apple cider, apple pie....I love it all
@CrazyCupcake52- do you at least like anything pumpkin? Because then you're sorta forgiven.
Oh, thank you! This is so helpful! Still confused about sexual orientation since it says it's about who you are attracted to based on their sex/gender in relation to your own... not sure how it can be both, but ya know what, little steps for me here. I support everyone's right to be called whatever they want, wear what they want, talk how they want, but it's super confusing to me. Maybe that's my UO, I hope we start to winnow down all these other identifiers and pick a couple of specific pronouns to make this all easier on everyone (maybe that's my UO :-) I'd like this whole gender identity thing to be easier for ME Kidding!!!
I know- it can be confusing. I was completely naive to all of this years ago when I joined TB (under my old name) and learned so much since then. I likely used gender years ago, too, but was corrected and glad I was. I don't get down peoples throats or anything for it, but I believe education is never a bad thing.
I don't like TB lingo. I hate the word snarky, a million GIFS make me feel like I'm going to stroke out and anything referring to rainbows and unicorns gets under my skin.

I am with you on rainbows and unicorns, and it annoys me to no end when people say they 'tell it like it is" when they really just like to be a mouthy PITA (it's also possible to 'tell it like it is' without being a total bizotch, and those people don't usually repeat the phrase 'tell it like it is' 35 times, if you have to justify that mean thing you just said with 'I'm just tellin' it like it is' then you probably went too far)
I should save this for FFFC, but damn I love GIF's a well placed GIF is a thing of wonder (let's not go overboard with them though. One or two is enough.

I agree about the lingo.
In my head, I picture people that are super into the bump/gifs as really nerdy internet type people. I wouldnt even know how to insert a gif into a post!
I won't judge that one, I have never seen Dirty Dancing, Say Anything, most of Star Wars (the first round) or The Shining.... along with a million other movies.
but the notebook makes me cry just thinking about it.
Re: UO Thursday!
I think owning a home is overrated. I would rather rent.
... says the one who just bought her first home.
