When my two year old says Lookit Mommy! because he's really excited about something (airplane in the sky, school bus, bird, etc), it melts my heart. And reminds me what's really important.
My DD loves to make things for people. Yesterday she came home with cards she she made for each person in her family and one was for her dad...it was clear she put the most work into it. It had a drawing of her and him holding hands on the front, on the inside it had a heart with an arrow through it on and said "I love you"...and on the back another heart and she wrote "we love you" (which is hard because...well..."we" don't, but I won't crush her spirit). It was so sweet.
Mine just said "I love you mommy" and she drew a bunch of smiley faces and wrote "smoile" (her way of spelling "smile").
He recently starting calling me "Mama Bear." It usually comes out with that question type of inflection that toddlers do. I have no idea where he got it, but it's adorable.
At DS's old daycare he never really said bye to his provider. But yesterday when I picked him up from Pre-school, he was so excited to say bye to his teachers. It was the cutest thing seeing him wave and saying "Bye Ms. Katy. Bye Ms. Shirley!!" Seems small but it made my heart melt.
The unprompted "I love yous" and kisses... This morning he just randomly kissed my hand while I was holding him. So sweet. He's also started saying "I sorry mommy" if he accidentally bumps into me or something, and patting me or giving me a hug. And he's very concerned whenever the dog "bonks" her tail. Such a sweetie pie.

Josie says "thank you mommy" everytime I kiss her. It's so freaking cute.
