New boob size?

Pre-pregnancy I was a 32B, pregnant I got to a 32C and now nursing I am a 32D. My question is, what is your experience with your boobs changing in size? Should I expect to be a 32D until I stop nursing? Will my boobs maybe return to a 32C once my supply regulates?

Not really concerned with what they will be after nursing yet, but I hate these nursing bras and don't want to drop $$$ at VS if they might go down in the next year.

Re: New boob size?

  • I'm 32 g pre pregnancy and also during pregnancy. I'm still the same size even nursing. I was the size the first time too, before I stopped nursing I was 32gg after I went back to a G. It's different for everyone some don't loose their boobs and some loose all of them.

My sister went from a large B to a C then down to an A.

  • I actually got a size smaller than pre-pregnancy when I stopped nursing my first. I'm hoping the same thing happens this time because I am bursting out of my old H cup nursing bras from #1.

  • I actually just want to know about boob size during nursing. Do they ever shrink while nursing, like after your supply regulates? Or should I expect to stay this size for the duration of nursing?

  • Oh, I stayed the same size throughout nursing. I was a little bigger in the beginning because of the initial engorgement, but not enough to make a difference in my bra size.

I stayed the same size or close to the same size throughout nursing. I nursed DS for 2 years and when I got down to only nursing him a couple times a day they went down a little bit but not enough to justify buying new bras.

  • I'd say give it about a month to regulate, and then get new bras. I stayed about the same the whole time I nursed DD1.

  • Oh. I can't answer that. I only breastfed for about three weeks and I stayed in a gg. I have a better production this time, I get engorged a lot and my bras get tight but I'm still in just a 32g
  • I had 34C with DS and it stayed that way until we stopped nursing. They may have gone down a little but not enough so that I needed to buy new bras again. This time I am a 36D (normally 32B) and I am HOPING they go back to a C.

Same here. I didn't focus much on the size in the first month (I barely remember that month with the 24 hour schedule and was enjoying not getting dressed up and leaving the house, so sports nursing bras were my life) but once my milk was regulated after a few weeks I stayed the same size until I stopped nursing.
  • I went from B to double D and am currently back to B
