BIL Update
Sister and BIL got to come home today. They were so ready to get out of the hospital.
I got to see them when they stopped by my mom's house to pick up their kids. They have a 3 year old son who only knew that "Daddy got a really bad boo-boo on his hand."
It was very emotional. They hadn't seen their kids since before the accident Sunday, so they were all missing each other badly.
When my nephew saw that BIL no longer had a hand, my sister told him that "Daddy was like Captain Hook, but without a hook."
Nephew started crying and said, "I'm sorry you lost your hand, but I love you anyway." I had never witnessed bittersweet until then.
So tonight I'm going to ugly cry a while.
But they are home now, and BIL is amazing for being so positive and calm.
