Hi Girls,
I found out today at my ultrasound that there was no heartbeat

I was nearly 12 weeks so was pretty shocked as I thought I was close to being in the clear, but as everyone on this board knows - there's no "in the clear" until that baby is safe in your arms. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi.
My first baby was conceived after nearly 2 years of trying (1 year of that fertility treatments - 5 rounds of IUI and some other failed drugs/cycles). This time I got pregnant on IUI#3 but it wasn't meant to be. I already have another appointment lined up w/my RE to talk about a new plan in a month, but the idea of going through that so soon sounds exhausting (we'll probably proceed anyway as I'm 36 and don't want to wait too long).
I have my D&C scheduled for tomorrow afternoon (the dilation part) and the actual procedure scheduled for Friday. I guess I'm also wondering what to expect in terms of recovery. I've been really nauseous this whole pregnancy - how soon will my PG symptoms subside after the D&C?
Nice to meet you all - looking forward to meeting everyone on this board.

Re: Intro
I feel for you and also know how horrid it feels to think your close to reaching the safe mark. It's so hard wondering why this happens. I saw my babies strong heart beat then a week later it was gone and I'm still trying to accept this. Sending you hugs
