International travel for work

Anyone in a position where they need to travel internationally for work? Unfortunately two meetings came up in Europe. They are both a complete waste of my time but I'm going to be hard pressed to get out of both. My boss said once I'm back, I'm back 100%. Anyone dealing with this? I'm trying to find delegates but not sure how well that's going to go over.

    I never had to travel internationally, but I did have to go to CA from MA, which is just about the same distance. If you are BF, that should be a valid reason for your company to not send you, and I'd talk to HR as necessary. If you ff, there's no reason not to go unless you can't find childcare. We made it work, but it's different for every family and situation.

    Thanks ladies and special thanks for the virtual creepy hugs @jmar2011‌ I needed a smile!

    My LO has been refusing a bottle since six weeks. We haven't started daycare yet but all our attempts at home and with the first daycare to feed her have failed. I'm just not comfortable leaving either.

    @kaysa2‌ I hope you're supply does recover. I imagine eventually I will feel the way you've posted but mentally I'm just not there yet. Good to see someone making it work however!!

    I'd be going from Cali which is a 9 hr time difference. Really hard to Skype with a 9 hour difference ....of course I am used to being up in the middle of the night now.
