Hello, all. We have started putting together our bigger purchases/gifts like our swing, pack n play, etc.. I'm thinking of putting our pack n play in our bedroom for sleeping/changing the first 8 weeks or so. Our nursery is right across the hall from our room so baby will go into crib after that. Then downstairs, I was going to set up our swing and rock n play for cat naps throughout the day. What is everyone else planning to do? I guess I could switch them up too? PnP downstairs, RnP upstairs? Thoughts?
Re: Where is your baby sleeping/napping?
Baby 2: EDD: 8/06/14 CP: 11/13
I bedshared with my other boys at night for the first 5/6months and plan to again this go around.
Every kid is different so we shall see how my plans actually turn out.

Naps.... Well, that is what my couch is for. Yes, I let my baby sleep on the couch next to me. Swing was almost useless the last 2 kids and I gave mine away. I have no intention of getting another one. The bouncy seats... Don't see a point in those. I do like the play mats, but well, unless baby falls asleep while she is playing, then it is not a sleeping pad.

Naps will be wherever...probably wearing him when he's tiny, then probably the RnP cause it's easy to pull from room to room depending on where I want him to nap. PnP will likely be in living room for diaper changes/nursing station. Worked well like that for DD2!

The swing was very cozy and inclined, and the co-sleeper was flat and very firm. I wonder if that had anything to do with him having trouble settling at night?
So this time, I may use a PNP or just the floor for naps so this one is used to sleeping flat and firm the majority of the time.
The swing may be reserved for times she is having trouble settling or if I need her to be secure and soothed while I deal with her big brother.
Idk. Every baby is different, so I'll have to see what works best for this one, but the above is just one small tweak I am considering this time around.
